The Blessed Homemaker

Bible Believer, Sweet Tea Drinker, Wife, Mama, Southerner In The U.K.

So, A Bit About Me…

  • First of all, it is so wonderful to have you here! I am excited to use this space to introduce myself to you and let you know a bit more about me.
  • Why did you choose your blog name?
  • I chose The Blessed Homemaker because, well, I am a homemaker. I love every second of it, being a wife and a mama brings me so much joy.
  • One of the main reasons I went with “Blessed” for the first part of this blog’s name is because of the verses in Proverbs 31, which you can find referenced over on my Home Page.
  • How long have you been a writer/blogger?
  • Short answer- Forever.
  • Long Answer – I’ve been an official blogger on and off for about 4 years. I have loved writing and always did fairly well in school. English, Creative Writing, and History classes have been my strongest subjects since I was a child. I wrote my first short story for fun when I was around 14 years old over the course of summer just before starting high school. I have attempted several stories/novels since, but have had none published as I usually get frustrated with my own thoughts and want to switch stories around chapters 3-5.
  • I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical and Educational Studies with a minor in Creative Writing at Liberty University.

  • Do you have any children?
  • Yes, my firstborn Son is now 3 years old, my firstborn Daughter is now 22 months old, and I have twin babies, Son #2 and Daughter #2 who are 6 months old now.
  • Keeping up with 4 littles under 3 years old can be exhausting day to day, that’s for sure. However, at the end of the day, I aboslutely love my life and that is what’s important. I love teaching my little ones new things every day and I am so excited to offically begin our homeschooling journey with my oldest son in a few short years.
  • What is your favorite childhood memory?
  • Traveling and family cookouts for sure. I remember so many vacations my mom and dad took me and my sister on. They were always a blast.
  • I do remember one specific trip where we went up to the mountains and stayed at The Pisgah Inn in North Carolina, right off of the parkway. This is an area we visited often and I absolutely LOVE it there.
  • I remember this specific time a little more vividly because my grandpa, grandma, and aunt joined us for the trip.
  • I remember seeing my “Pop” rocking in the chairs, standing and looking out at the mountains, and just him being there. It’s hard, since he passed, but I remember that trip and will always cherish the memories I’ve been fortunate enough to make. Both with my Pop and with the rest of my family as I grew up. I do not take my childhood for granted, I know so many people out there don’t get those kinds of experiences with their families. I only hope that I can provide just as many fun, entertaining and learning experiences for my babies.
  • Do you have a favorite ice cream flavor?
  • Yes – Chocolate followed closely by Vanilla. And I always love a GOOD mint chocolate chip!
  • Interesting tid bit – Up until I was somewhere around 6/7 years old, I thought the only ice-cream flavors were chocolate and vanilla! I did know about orange sherbet as my grandpa and grandma on my mom’s side had it often, but I guess I just never noticed the rest, I certainly don’t remember having any others!
  • What is your favorite food?
  • Authentic Mexican food (Mi desayuno favorito es huevos con frjoles y queso) followed closely by Southern Soul food like grits, fried chicken, and of course scrumptious fluffy biscuits! I really love watching the Pioneer Woman and Paula Deen for some southern cooking inspo! Recently, my favorite go to recipes come out of Joanna Gaines’s books, Magnolia Table. There are some yummy recipes in there!
  • How old are you?
  • I am 30 years old. I can’t believe I’ll be 31 in 3 short months! It’s coming up so fast!

  • So there you go, that’s a little bit about the person behind the computer here in this little corner of the internet. If there’s anything else you would like to know, please don’t hesitate to ask!
  • Again, it is great to have you here. I hope you will grab a cup of coffee (or hot tea, if that’s your jam) and browse the pages for a bit.
  • Lots of Love,
  • Victoria
