I can hardly believe we are here! The middle of December and staring at Christmas!! Wow.
It has certainly been a whirlwind over here since Thanksgiving, for which I didn’t quite get to post as I anticipated. However, I am currently finishing up my finals for this semester at Liberty University and then I’m off until January 10th!! My parents fly in on the 16th, but we won’t get to see them until the 18th (Thanks Covid – Omicron). I am just praying that Christmas doesn’t get completely canceled here in the UK. We have so many fun things planned out to show my parents.
Anyways, today I just wanted to check in a write a quick little “hey, I’m still here” style post
I can hardly believe that the twins will be 6 months old just a few days after Christmas! They are seriously getting so big. Boy is heavy, like muscular and lean. Whereas Girl is my little chunky monkey with *all* the rolls, ha-ha. Bless their hearts I just love them so much. Part of me is super sad that they are our last babies, but then part of me is like… yes… no more bottles, no more spit up, one step closer to no diapers, home-schooling 4 kids, vacations, museum trips, library trips and just all the things coming in our next chapter (hopefully in a world with no COVID). But I don’t want to rush anything. I love my babies and I am soaking them in as much as I can during this little lovely, cuddly, no talk-back phase of their lives.
I tell you guys if you have a baby or know of someone with a baby, lights…lights…lights… haha. I kid you not, any time the twins were inconsolable over the past few weeks, I would simply stick a string of twinkle lights somewhere in their line of sight and they are mesmerized for quite a while!
Anyone out there have fun plans for Christmas that you’re hoping don’t get canceled??
Let me know!
