Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, here we are on Thanksgiving Day! I sure hope you are all enjoying the day with your families! I hate that I didn’t get to posting this sooner, but honestly, I’ve just put it together today. This is the follow-up to my previous post about my Creamy Smashed Potatoes. You can find that post under the Recipes category. In that post, I told you guys that I would be posting my full menu so here it is! This is my basic meal plan for our full Thanksgiving meal that I will be making for our get-together on Sunday! Some things may still change, but this is more than likely the final menu. I was seriously considering tossing in some corn fritters and fried okra, but I’m not so sure they’re ready for that yet, haha!

For those who don’t know, we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner this weekend and my husband’s parents along with his brother’s family are coming over and we will be sharing a meal that I’ve prepared for the first time. My husband and I have been together for over 8 years, so this is a big deal! I am stressing a little, but I’ll get it done. I am so excited to share some of these recipes with them since they’ve never really had an American-style Thanksgiving meal. These are all foods that I grew up with as tradition around this time of year so, fingers crossed that they like it! And if not, well… leftovers are a favorite around here!

Below, you will see my plans for how I intend to pull off all the cooking over the next few days to have it all done by Sunday. So, without further rambling, here is my timetable for the next few days leading up to our big family dinner on Sunday! As you can tell, some things have been added and some have been nixed. I go with the flow up until it’s time to start cooking!

Let me know if you do a timetable like this or if you get everything going and cook it all on Thanksgiving Day!
